The Emergency Medicine Advanced Provider (EMAP) Fellowship at Kaweah Delta Healthcare District is a 14-month intensive post-graduate training program for certified PAs and NPs in the specialty of Emergency Medicine. It offers PAs and NPs interested in advanced EM education and training the chance to learn in a structured and organized didactic and clinical environment. This education will occur under the direct supervision of Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians and highly experienced Advanced Providers. Our graduates will become highly skilled, highly competent, compassionate, and efficient emergency medicine providers.

The Opportunity

• 14-month program
• Hands-on clinical training and close supervision provided by NCCPA certified PAs and BE/BC Emergency Physicians
• Exposure to emergency medicine, critical care, trauma surgery, emergency ultrasound, pediatrics, mental health, and intake rotation
• Weekly formal didactic training and discussion, as well as attendance at weekly conference with EM Residents
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), as well as Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Paid Fellowship, with paid time off (PTO), health insurance benefits, and paid malpractice insurance

Candidate Requirements

• Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited PA program or NP program

• Eligible for and/or possess current CA Medical Board Physician Assistant licensure (eligible candidates must be fully licensed by the start of the program)

• Eligible for and/or possess current DEA licensure (eligible candidates must be fully licensed by the start of the program)
• Current certification in ACLS and BLS
• Previous EMS/ED work experience is highly desirable but not required
