Beck Manufacturing, a division of Anvil International and located in Greencastle PA, is accepting Applications for a 2nd shift Cut-Off Machine Operator.

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm, $13.75 per hour

The Machine Operator sets the machine to cut pipe to a specified length. The machine is either an automatic feed or the operator will hand feed the machine by pulling the pipe at waist level until the cutting blade engages.

The operator must periodically check for quality and accuracy of length and/or bore size using gages or dial calipers. The operator may be required to make minor adjustments to the machine using general hand tools including hammers, screwdrivers, open and closed end wrenches, ratchets and sockets in order to achieve desired results.

The operator is responsible for changing the cutting tool using an allen wrench when needed, maintaining the proper level of all lubricants using site gages or visual inspection, keeping their work area clean and safe, keeping foreign objects out of the tubs containing cut pipe, and maintaining accurate production records in the computer system.

Operators will run one or two machines based on the level of automation of the machine.

• Constant standing and walking (up to 10 hours per day)
