Forklift Operator - $18 / hr at FactoryFix in GOSHEN, Indiana

Job Description:

A plastics company in Goshen, IN is looking for a Forklift Operator for a 2nd shift opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect and unload raw materials from bulk trucks or other containers into silos and process paperwork accordingly. Monitor silo readings. Clean up any spillage indoors or outdoors.


• Clean material hoppers and switch material lines for all molding machines that are changing materials, and notify shift on radio as appropriate when complete.


• Mark material containers with proper identification (type, style, number, etc.), for proper movement or disposition. Accurately weigh/count and provide documentation for scrap and WIP information.


• Perform minor maintenance and repairs to hopper loading systems, central grinding system, silos, surge bins, press-side grinders, and write work orders as needed.


• Enter product data into the inventory management system


• Capable of using material handling equipment with proven competence

• MUST be able to pass full drug screen


• Must be able to obtain PIV license (training provided)


• Previous forklift experience a must.


• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus


• Must be self-directed and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.


• Willing to work any shift as necessary


• High School or GED Diploma


• OSHA forklift certification a plus
