Responsibilities


  • Produce engaging and relevant communications on a variety of subjects for internal and external customers

  • Leads the rebuild of our new intranet by producing content, advising on site design, ensuring technical issues are resolved with IT, and driving adoption across the Company

  • Manage our social media channels to post relevant content and engage with key stakeholders

  • Serves on the website working committee with division leaders to manage bc.com content and ensure brand compliance

  • Works with the Corporate Communications Manager to help create strategic communications plans for key initiatives

  • Acts as a champion for change management across the Company

  • Utilizes tone and language that demonstrates understanding of and respect for the cultural differences between businesses and audiences

  • Identifies digital technologies and makes recommendations for enhancements that follow industry trends and standards

  • Continually evaluates ways to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of work

  • Ensures project/department milestones/goals are met and adheres to approved budgets

  • Demonstrates strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or a related field, or equivalent work experience (5-7 years) in related job function

  • Passion for accuracy and detail, including written and oral communications

  • Comfortable managing complex projects and initiatives to tight deadlines

  • Mastery of content management systems (WordPress, social media such as Hootsuite) and Office 365 products including Sharepoint, Teams, Streams, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' work experience with digital communications (written and video) on Sharepoint-based intranets

  • Proficiency in SEO

  • Experience in Google Analytics

  • Strategic thinker with strong organizational and independent problem- solving skills
