As a Controls Technical Specialist you will oversee PLC upgrades and wiring modifications on equipment, and work directly with our maintenance team to troubleshoot and support production line modifications. You'll be responsible for development and execution of electrical and controls scope on capital projects, including software and hardware design. In addition, you will be providing process automation software and hardware support to the factory, including trouble shooting. You'll also help with the training of our maintenance staff.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Configure, program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controls (PLC)
  • Implement control systems software upgrade
  • Provides instrumentation, PLC and HMI/SCADA software and hardware support to plant maintenance staff
  • Provides advanced electrical and controls support, including PLC and HMI/SCADA software and hardware updates and troubleshooting
  • Provides after-hours on call support on rotating monthly schedule, generally one week per month

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum):

  • Associate's Degree in a technical discipline
  • 1+ years of applicable experience in PLC and HMI software development and troubleshooting.

OR

  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • 3+ years of applicable experience in PLC and HMI software development and troubleshooting.
