As the Solution Architect, you will define end to end solutions delivered through partnerships to deliver net new products from a technical perspective within the Software organization. You will be focused on architecting, designing and developing new software solutions for prospective customers, existing customers and key industry partners.
You will provide customer and market feedback by gathering and analyzing marketplace intelligence for new solutions and translating into potential technical solutions with business requirements. The primary focus is to work with clients, prospects and the internal team to analyze business needs and translate business requirements and programming specifications in a form that can easily be understood by all audiences.
You are responsible for
Working closely with Business development in supporting incoming partnership inquiries and the technical needs associated with moving new concepts into Proof of Concept and Pilot testing, ensuring that POC solutions are architected to move into production quickly
Staying on top of the latest techniques being used by our direct competitors, and identifying strategic opportunities for competitive advantages through benchmarking, consumer insight, market analysis, and other techniques
Planning requirements gathering and design activities. Collaborating with product, project, and development managers to determine required resource needs, product backlog prioritization, champion delivery of feature sets via a design schedule, and working with all customer-facing team members to translate the technical solution into feature / benefit propositions for the marketplace
Defining technical solutions to a business problem
Gathering requirements and defining the business need and desired outcome that stakeholders are looking to achieve
Capturing, classifying, and prioritizing business, functional, and non-functional requirements
Analyzing and modeling requirements through the use of process flows, data flows, and use case diagrams
Creating functional solution design and collaborating with SMEs and technical lead on identifying and designing the solution
Promoting a culture where critique and feedback are central to the work we do, and ensuring teams have regular opportunities to critique and be critiqued
Keeping co-workers grounded on the idea that our focus is on delivery rather than deliverables, and solutions rather than documents
Working in a collaborative environment with people who have a variety of skills - like user experience design, research, and front/back-end development - that collectively contribute to the final solution
Developing innovative technical solutions and setting product direction to address industry business problems.
Directing and participating in research and prototype development to validate solutions and new technologies.
Performing complex product design activities which may require extensive research and analysis.
Reviewing and analyzing existing banking solutions and client requirements, and providing recommendations for extension and customization to team members and clients
Participating in limited software development (coding) activities at times
Developing and maintaining working relationships with other departments which are key to the success of the organization (e.g., Product Management, Business Development, Professional Services, Engineering, Sales, etc.)
Industry experience in banking, payments, and fintech. Work experience in General Retail also a plus
Software development & API development required
Technical aptitude and ability to learn new technologies quickly
Strong communication skills and experience working with multiple business partners to ensure best approach available
Ability to build trust and relationships and influence partner decisions
A track record of proven innovation and new software product management success
A structured approach to decision-making and communication when communicating with C-suite executives to product managers and software engineers
Strong problem solving skills
Experience in conducting development activities using stringent source code control procedures
Possess strong written and oral communication skills for producing software design specifications
Experienced in developing and documenting use cases
