Job Description:

An award-winning healthcare system located in the upstate Vermont region is currently searching for an experienced Director of Medical Staffing Services to join their acute care team.

This not-for-profit acute care facility is home to nearly 500 licensed beds and offers a full range of medical and surgical services. The Director of Medical Staffing Services will join a healthcare system that provides leading clinical care in a variety of specialties including cardiovascular, imaging and radiology, orthopedics, women and children’s services, perioperative care, oncology, emergency and critical care, and much more.

The Director of Medical staffing Services will oversee all activities of the Medical Staffing Office to include developing and implementing department policies and procedures, provide appointment and privileging recommendations to the Board of Directors, and must maintain regulatory compliance of all Medical Staffing operations. The Director of Medical Staffing Services will report to the Chief Medical Officer and will oversee a team of roughly 3 full-time employees.

The Director of Medical staff Services will manage all credentialing and re-credentialing activities within the Medical Staffing Office.  The Director must have a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field. Current NAMSS Medical Staff Services Professional certification requires (CPMSM and CPCS). The Director should also have at least 5 years of progressive leadership in a hospital based medical staffing office.

The hospital is located in the gorgeous suburbs of Vermont, bordering New York. The Director of Medical Staffing Services will be surrounded by delicious food and endless entertainment. Located in upper Vermont, the Director can easily road trip to New York, Maine, and Canada.
