Loan Servicing Specialist I - 2nd Shift at Space Coast Credit Union in Melbourne, Florida

Job Description:

Space Coast Credit Union has an exciting opportunity for a Loan Servicing Specialist I. You will be responsible for responding to all members and/or customer inquiries received via telephone, mail, e-mail or in person.  Provides a contact source for members with questions regarding their loan account. Acts as a representative of SCCU and provides exceptional quality service for members and internal and external customers. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serves as a contact source for members and credit union employees for research and questions regarding loan accounts.Processes requests and corrections forwarded electronically from various internal departments per established performance standards.Determines if restrictions or regulations apply to requests.




• Processes loan payoff quotes, payoffs and other payment transactions.




• Communicates accurately and effectively on loan information from our core system to members, credit union employees, management, title companies and insurance companies.This includes loan payment due dates, rates, interest calculations, loan processes, and loan regulations.




• Identifies issues and inefficiencies in processes, loans, reports, requests, and any other means available.Reports these to management for further review, and assists in implementation when improvements are determined.




• Inspects loan documents and transactions for accuracy. Corrects, reconstructs and modifies mortgage loans by adjusting rate, term, payment posting errors, and payment history in order to create an accurate member loan history.




• Researches and resolves member disputes to ensure both loan quality and member satisfaction.




• Monitors loans that fall under the Service members Civil Relief Act to ensure that interest rates are adjusted timely and accurately.




• Understands and completes transactions concerning Mortgage Escrow accounts.

Requirements:

• One to three years prior experience in a loan servicing role or equivalent is preferred. 


• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, ensure complete understanding of the intent and content of the communication. 


• Ability to prioritize and organize job tasks.


• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously while under strict time deadlines without sacrificing quality of output.


• Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.

Hours - 2nd Shift

Monday - Friday 10:00am - 7:00pm, Alternating Saturday's 9:00am-5:00pm
