Job Description

The Sr. Account Manager will be based in Farmington Hills, MI. The ideal candidate will manage Flex Automotive customer relationships on a global basis, and be the single point of contact for the customer global commercial activities.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:


  • Prepare and deliver compelling quotations for new business opportunities, provide quotes for design and service level changes, maintain pricing summaries, monitor customer PO’s and maintain pricing alignment with Flex sites, ensure that customer required capacity is aligned with site manufacturing plans,

  • Facilitate external communications between the customer and Flex sites. Support escalation communications for site operational and quality issues as required.

  • Facilitate internal communications between Flex vertical partners (ie. PCB Fab, Mechanicals, Plastics, Design and Test, etc.) and functional areas (i.e. Supply Chain management, Manufacturing Operations, Design and Engineering, Quality, etc.)

  • Coordinate / manage global customer business reviews

  • Provide input into customer contract negotiations and ensure contract requirements are fulfilled by Flex operations and customers

  • Conduct operational reviews to ensure Flex and Customer requirements are executed at the required levels

  • Provide input into future Flex product planning and manufacturing strategies to support customer business strategies

  • Ensure use and sharing of best practices and standardization of Flex and Customer processes and procedures

  • Establish performance measurements for Global PM organization to maximize profit and minimize liability

  • Ensure Customer Satisfaction Program schedule is adhered to and improvement actions are implemented and communicated with customer

  • Facilitating solutions continuous improvements for Flex and the customer

  • Managing and delivering to customer expectations

Here is some of what you’ll need (required qualifications):


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering or related field or equivalent experience. 

  • Minimum of five years of Automotive experience in account management, sales, marketing, project management, program administration, product engineering, or related experience.

  • Experienced with Electronic and/or Electro-mechanical products

Here are a few of our preferred experiences:


  • A Master’s degree is preferred.

  • Preferred 10 years of Automotive experience in account management, sales or related area
