Job Description:

N C Power System carries the complete line of Caterpillar® engine and Power Systems products covering a vast territory that includes Central and Western Washington, Central and Eastern Montana, northwestern Wyoming, northwestern North Dakota and the state of Alaska. We are the Pacific Northwest’s Caterpillar Dealer in delivering prime and standby electric power, marine, oil and gas, and industrial/OEM installations.

About the Position:

Become a member of our winning team! The Yard Attendant is a very important role in a team environment at our Cat Rental Power location in Tukwila, WA.  The successful candidate will be responsible for checking in and out, load and unloading equipment to meet our customers’ needs. The position requires mechanical aptitude to safely demonstrate how to operate equipment by climbing in and out of forklifts and climbing up and down ladders. The ability to work outside for long periods of time in all weather conditions to clean, load and unload equipment for our customers will be essential to complete the needs of our customers. Must be able to lift and handle minimum of 50 pounds.

Qualifications & Experience Needed:

A High School diploma or equivalent or equivalent work experience. Valid driver’s license and previous fork lift experience required. Ability to operate small & large forklifts. Working knowledge of engines, generator & electrical parts desired. Knowledge of hazardous material handling. MS Office experience and data entry proficiency. Ability to handle working in a fast-paced, stressful work environment. Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers. Must have good written communication & organization skills.
