Job Overview:  

Responsible for a wide variety of projects and activities as it relates to the Supplier Relationship Management team. Responsible for facilitating retained income revenue, promotional activities, and training/education from a variety of income sources – Incentives, GAP Recovery, Marketing Programs, etc. and onboarding new suppliers/new items, as assigned. Establishes professional working relationships with internal and external customers in order to provide insights and guidance to facilitate retained income revenue opportunities and shorten the onboarding process for new supplier/new item set up. 

 

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 


  • Establishes, facilitates and provides analytical insights to the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) team as it relates to promotional and marketing vehicles. Insights provide guidance that enables the SRM to target opportunities for promotional and/or marketing revenue.

  • Manages and executes onboarding required documents in conjunction with supplier and Supplier Relationship Management team, as assigned.

  • Recommends analytical solutions that enable a more complete understanding of customer’s promotional behavior within or across selected channels, markets and programs. Insights will provide SRM the ability to target key suppliers that fit the business need based on these promotional behaviors.

  • Extracts necessary data elements from promotional/marketing forms and other sources to develop insightful analyses and reports on supplier and product-level trends.

  • Works directly with the Supplier to carefully walk through required UNFI documents, enabling the supplier’s ability to “get it right the first time”. 

  • Facilitates negotiations/implementation of programs to exceed retained income.

  • Works with SRM Analyst team to create/develop/deploy reports/tools to support the SRM team.

  • Develops/Maintains user documentation/training on all tasks/responsibilities.

  • Develops/Maintains accurate tracking/reporting for work-related tasks.

  • Develops/Maintains strong working relationships with both internal and external customers.

  • Engages with internal teams to address issues, requests, questions and educate/train on key initiatives and program goals.

  • Executes promotional events on behalf of suppliers and brokers.

  • Executes marketing program billings based on supplier participation/commitment for assigned programs.

  • Actively participates in Trade Shows, inclusive of show preparation, execution and follow up reporting.

  • Maintains lists of all brokers and lines represented.

  • Ensures that plans, goals and policies are consistent with established company-wide goals and development activities are cost-effective, efficient, and within established budget constraints.

  • Stays current with technology/new trends.

  • Develops Reporting as needed/requested

  • Performs other relevant job duties as required.

 

Job Requirements:  


  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience

  • 3+ years of experience in office environment within a related field preferred

  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications and necessary functions to capture, execute and translate data

  • Well organized and ability to work on multiple projects and maintain flexibility

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Attentive to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to translate data into meaningful and actionable recommendations

  • Ability to negotiate deals
