Job Description:

Cherokee Nation Entertainment (CNE) is the retail, gaming, entertainment, hospitality and cultural tourism entity of the Cherokee Nation. CNE operates ten casinos in Claremore, Fort Gibson, Ramona, Roland, Sallisaw, Tahlequah, Tulsa, West Siloam Springs, South Coffeyville, and Grove as well as two Cherokee Travel Plaza and convenience store, numerous restaurants and entertainment venues, six retail smoke shops, nine gift shops, two golf courses, two tourism welcome centers, four museums, three hotels, two horse racing tracks and KOA RV campground.

SUMMARY

The Production Cook is responsible for the production of food, recipe adherence, portion control standards, and presentation of all food items.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following (Other duties may be assigned):

• Responsible for production cooking of food for the main kitchen.
• Must adhere to standards for preparation, portioning, cooking, and presentation of all menu items.
• Ensure excellent quality of food and proper presentation.
• Responsible for portion control, adherence of recipes, and timeliness of all food products.
• Uphold cleanliness standards for kitchen operations, kitchen equipment, and kitchen tools.
• Uphold safe and sanitary work environment.
• Duties may differ by work location.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.

Requires a minimum of 1 year of related experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to multitask
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Maintain a positive professional working relationship with management and co-workers
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have a food handler's card from the Cherokee Nation.

This position requires frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and balancing. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Frequent exposure to extreme cold, extreme heat, moisture, smoke, and toxic/caustic chemicals.
