Job Description:

Responsible for providing EH&S support to the company stake holders and assisting in the daily functions of the EHS department; including: job site inspections, conducting safety meetings, performing incident investigations, client interaction, performing various EHS training needs, OQ management for the team, oversee D&A local process, assist with DOT and fleet management, compliance database management. GENERAL SUMMARY :

Responsible for providing EH&S support to the company stake holders and assisting in the daily functions of the EHS department; including: job site inspections, conducting safety meetings, performing incident investigations, client interaction, performing various EHS training needs, OQ management for the team, oversee D&A local process, assist with DOT and fleet management, compliance database management.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned) :

  • Conducting and documenting job site safety assessments and inspections.
  • Conducting incident investigations and reporting incident information to clients and the Company.
  • Review and analyze and provide feedback on incident investigations, hazards, near misses and filed observations to identify trends and communicate to EHS Department.
  • Ability to effectively train and guide others to ensure safety understanding and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with client and company EHS processes.
  • Conduct and/or manage training initiatives for the team.
  • Assist the Corporate EHS team with DOT and Fleet management initiatives.
  • Responsible for data entry and research on various EHS related initiatives.
  • Support data migration needs in various software system, including ISNetworld, Browz, Avetta, PEC/Veriforce and other similar systems.
  • Responsible for filing and sorting EHS paperwork.
  • Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails.
  • Reply to general information requests with timely and accurate information.
  • Support the operations team in the EHS role as a representative of the Corporate EHS team.
  • Act as a representative of the company on business matters related to EHS.
  • Act as a Designated Employer Representative (DER) for Company D&A program.
  • Perform Safety audits for JSAs and DOT logs to ensure operations team is completing properly and address with Operations Management if deficiencies are found.
  • Track performance metrics and training monthly to report to Operations Management and identify trends and address training and procedures to improve.

  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES :

    • Bachelor's degree in EHS with 2+ years of experience in an EHS role working in the Oil & Gas Construction Industry or Associates degree in EHS with 5 years of experience in an EHS role working in the Oil & Gas Construction Industry.
    • EHS Certifications a plus (ASP, CSP, CSSM, etc.).
    • Knowledge of requirements related to Operator Qualifications, DOT, Training, and Risk Management systems:
      o NCCER
      o Energy Worldnet
      o Veriforce/PEC
      o ISNetworld
    • Intermediate to advanced MS Office, Word and Excel required.
    • Willingness to learn, a team player and deadline-driven.
    • Attention to detail, ability to Multi-task and prioritize assignments.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate across functional lines.
    • Professional demeanor and appearance.
    • Self-Driven with a desire to be best in class
    • Certified to train on the following topics preferred:

      • PEC Basic
      • H2S

    • First Aid/CPR/AED
