The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

The person hired for the position of Pricing & Merchandising Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring that 3M HIS meets and exceeds its revenue goals. Pricing Coordinators are responsible for all pricing and contracting requests. Candidates with an analytical background and advanced Microsoft Office Suite experience are desired, as these skills can translate to future efficiencies. 

Here, you will make an impact by:

• Complete Pricing and Contracting requests in collaboration with sales to drive revenue growth for 3M HIS


• Price requests through a back-end system and create a checklist for contractual negotiations/language


• Collaborate with Business owners in 3M HIS to efficiently operationalize pricing methodologies


• Collaborate with peers to formulate more efficient operational opportunities and standard practices (SOPs)


• Consistently hit 3M HIS metrics to align with organizational goals


• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, legal, marketing, billing, credit, and contract receipts teams to minimize complications downstream


• Actively participates in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, complies with professional and quality standards, complies with corporate policies and procedures, and acts in a manner consistent with 3M’s values and ethical standards

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution and a minimum of four (4) combined years of experience in pricing and/or contracting in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree education requirement



• One (1) combined year of experience in pricing and/or contracting in a private, public, government, or military environment


• Intermediate skills in Excel and Microsoft Word

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience with cross-functional project management


• Operational experience in a fast-paced working environment


• Experience with data entry


• Preferred experience in health information systems


• Ability to multitask and excel through daily interruptions


• Self-starter that is able to prioritize projects effectively


• Detail oriented and thorough


• Cross-functional leadership skills


• Efficient problem solving attributes


• Determination and perseverance during high workload volumes

Location: Taylorsville, Utah

Travel: 10% domestic travel

Relocation: Is not authorized
