CPM has full-time job opportunities for Program Specialists to provide established services.  If you like to conduct detailed, online research using online data sources, social media and other resources to find information, this is the job for you.

You will have a cubicle workspace with daytime hours only when onsite, including time off weekends and most state holidays.

The primary job is building electronic records used to establish and enforce child support cases. This position receives ongoing training, coaching and mentoring from multiple sources including peers, to ensure program deliverables and accountabilities are fulfilled in an ever-changing environment. Ability to conform to specific guidelines and timetables is a requirement to ensure the needs of all customers are met.

Specific Tasks (including but not limited to):

• Performs initial review, data collection and verification of child support from electronic state assistance application or direct written applications in the case initiation process


• Conducts thorough, detailed and organized research using various search engines to complete established processes in a time driven manner


• Documents and updates all finds in the system and program databases

The Program Specialist focuses on customer needs, collaborates with others, solves problems creatively, and demonstrates high integrity while meeting established policy and procedures; must be able to maintain effective professional and team relationships in both a virtual and live environment that meet departmental core values; and performs related duties as assigned. Required Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education/job related experience, AND:

• 12-18 months professional experience in child support, social services or office based customer service

Skills:

• Ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English


• Proficient in Microsoft Office


• Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information


• Customer service


• Must be able to perform basic data analysis


• Composition and proofreading skills

Advertised Physical Requirements:

• Ability to engage in repetitive motions including movements of the hands, wrist or fingers. Ability to touch including finger dexterity. Ability to see including color, depth perception and clarity, sit, and communicate including receiving detailed information orally or making fine discrimination in sound.

Departmental Preferences:

• Bilingual skills in conversational Spanish and English languages
