The Documentation Specialist position requires a skilled professional that is detail oriented, organized and has excellent written communication skills. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and maintain a high level of professionalism, courtesy, and customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Support all departments with documentation needs
· Maintain corporate document library and ensure compliance with documentation procedures. Revise outdated documents and ensure that all staff are aware of the correct version
· Write detailed policy and procedure documents based on discussions with process owners and identification / creation of process flows with an emphasis on accuracy and compliance with business needs
· Provide graphic design assistance to enhance presentation in alignment with brand standards
· Review BIG-developed applications. Provide guidance on spelling, grammar, application usability, and bug checking to ensure customized applications meet customer requirements, as needed
· Provide documentation, end user and customer training for operation of applications, as needed
· Meet with customer representatives when necessary to gather and delineate customer requirements, analyze and recommend process improvements, and create supporting documentation
· Provide support for ongoing projects, revise documentation as needed, assist in end-user support and training as required
· Other duties as assigned
