Receiving Clerk at Agilex Fragrances in Van Nuys, California

Job Description:

Agilex Fragrances is a leading provider of custom fragrance compounds and delivery systems serving mid-sized customers. We have Receiving Clerk opportunity at our Van Nuys California location. The Receiving Clerk is responsible to ensure accurate physical receiving of materials/product, in order to maintain integrity of inventory control. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensures storage of materials/product to proper location.

- Unloads carriers, handling materials, supplies, etc. and all MRO materials to minimize potential damage. Reviews against Bill of Lading. Makes note of any discrepancies or damages and obtains driver's signature. Deliver received materials to holding area.
- Receives all containers of raw materials and immediately enters receipts into ERP system to generate product, identification/inventory labels.
- Reviews incoming raw materials against ERP Purchase Order, ensures materials received are materials ordered, and inspects containers for damage and labeling requirements. If possible, receives all items on a purchase order together.
- Properly inputs received material into ERP system and forwards proper documentation to Accounts Payable. Records non-conformances, notifying appropriate managerial and purchasing personnel.
- Takes and prepares retain samples of all incoming raw materials and provides to QC for approval. Ensures that no material is released for storage or production unless QC approved.
- Expeditiously processes any raw materials received that are immediately required by production (Hot List).
- Labels all QC approved material containers appropriately and stocks materials in proper locations, ensuring that location is appropriate for the materials, placing flammable materials (drums/cans) in the appropriate Hazardous Material Storage area.
- Receives returned product, completing necessary documents and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Operates fork lift in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
- Maintains clean and safe work area, and adheres to safety regulations, and procedures, understanding the hazards that are associated with the job duties, to include chemicals and power operated vehicles.
- Assists Shipping personnel as necessary.
- Participates in year end physical inventory.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalency (GED) required.
- Minimum of two years of shipping experience required - Receiving and Inventory Control preferred.
- Prior fork lift experience.
- Prior equipment operator experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience handling chemicals.
- Ability to handle heavy materials, including drums, lifting requirement of up to 60 lbs.
- Must possess strong commitment to team environment dynamics.
