Job Description:

Job Summary:
Responsible for activities associated with the implementation of the Corporate Compliance Program, including monitoring operational compliance units, analyzing risk assessments, and researching risk assessment based on regulations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs regulatory compliance audits to determine if line-of-business units or functional areas are in compliance with consumer regulations. Creates accurate, logical work papers that clearly describe the work performed, the results of testing, and analysis.
Analyzes the consumer compliance risk assessment to determine the scope of control exams.
Reviews a wide variety of organizational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations and internal standards.
Analyzes existing policies, procedures, workflows, and first line of defense monitoring.
Identifies gaps and recommends new and/or revised policies and procedures, and monitoring methods.
Participates in consumer compliance control exams and may act as lead examiner.
Verifies compliance plans against established policies and procedures and applicable regulations.
Develops recommendations for corrective actions based on review findings, and partners with the business unit to refine recommendations.
Determines adequacy of process group controls based on results of control exam for input to the consumer compliance risk assessment.
Plans and executes follow-up work in a timely manner to ensure adequate remediation of gaps.
Provides progress updates periodically for committee reporting. Tracks issues through to closure, including corrective action.
Proactively researches and summarizes new and existing consumer regulations or examination manuals for application to company policies and procedures through the use of existing resources, tools, subscriptions, and training courses.
Recommends education plans for business units to ensure future compliance. Develops educational plans, materials and resources used to educate employees on compliance program objectives as needed.
May orient, train, assign and review work assignments of junior team members as requested.
Receives confidential questions from business unit team members concerning compliance situations. Investigates questions to determine specifics and provides recommendations for resolution or refers concerns to appropriate individuals for follow-up.
Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Experience: Five years job specific experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Advanced knowledge and understanding of consumer regulations
Analytical skills to identify root causes of deficiencies and to summarize and apply complex regulatory requirements to current processes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with team members as well as members of the business units
Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities
Proficiency using Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation
Advanced knowledge Compliance Management Program (CMP) elements
Solid knowledge and understanding of the CMP methodologies and tools that support compliance management
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency using OneNote.
