This position will be focusing primarily on our Reserve Power applications, which include telecommunications, IT, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), utilities and switchgear, security, emergency lighting and general electronics. Some of the reserve power brands include PowerSafe,DataSafe, and Genesis. Our extensive product range serves a variety of reserve power applications and consistently delivers the most effective, powerful and reliable batteries available.

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for manufacturing of products which include PCBA assembly, electro-mechanical assembly, electronic assembly, mechanical assembly, and system integration. Responsible for material flow, including material receiving, warehousing, and delivery to the production and shipping areas.Responsible for manufacturing of products which include PCBA assembly, electro-mechanical assembly, electronic assembly, mechanical assembly, and system integration. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Oversee the daily activity of the production, warehouse, test, and packaging areas and assign tasks and workloads to accomplish the department objectives

- Manage department supervisors and personnel

- Monitor and evaluate performance and provide constructive feedback to accomplish department objectives

- Ensure the availability of all necessary equipment, drawings, manuals, and materials for accomplishing department objectives

- Work with Quality to effectively operate in an ISO registered environment

- Evaluate and implement recommendations for productivity improvement

- Approve overtime where needed

- Work with manufacturing engineering to improve process flow

- Work with Engineering Test department to improve production test efficiency

- Prepare annual departmental budget including: staffing requirements, capital equipment, and operation expenditures

- Operate department within approved budget

- Work with the Advanced Products Group department in evaluating new products prior to being released for production

- Provide input to planning and purchasing on requirements for production timelines

- Coordinate the movement, storage, and placement of all materials at AAI Bellingham facilities

- Supervise and coordinate the preparation of materials for production work orders, vendor-managed goods, and internal requests for materials from all local Alpha Group locations

- Perform periodic report of department metrics

Qualifications

- 2 year degree in Engineering, Business or Proeduction/Operations Management

- 4 to 6 years in management position that is directly comparable to the requirements of the position

- 2 to 4 years supervisory experience

- This position will work in an manufacturing setting, expect minimal physical demands.
