Dura-Line is hiring a Lead Quality Assurance Technician in our manufacturing plant in Sparks, NV to help oversee the production of high-quality products within the department. You will help lead, facilitate and assist in the quality assurance, document control, and safety functions at our plant. We are looking for someone that is hands-on, and very customer-centric and results-oriented.

Day Shift Schedules:

What will you be doing?


  • Support Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager in scheduling and management of all equipment calibrations

  • Manage the schedule of Quality Assurance Technicians

  • Conduct training for new Quality Assurance Technicians

  • Prepare Certification of Compliance as requested

  • Inspect products during the extrusion process using calipers, micrometers, tape, and weight scale

  • Compare product with customer specifications

  • Make decision on product status, and mark the type of defect if applicable

  • Document information on work orders

  • Inspect and tag reels

  • Test incoming raw material and conduit, and record the date

  • Operate diagnostic equipment needed to perform job

  • Maintain neat and orderly work area

  • Follow all safety requirements

  • SAP Transactions and movements.

  • Perform all other tasks and projects as assigned or required

 

What will help you be successful in this role?


  • Minimum of two years’ experience in quality / inspection procedures

  • Must be computer proficient in Excel (proficient), Word, Outlook

  • SAP, and files management a plus

  • Ability to learn and use laboratory and inspection equipment

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must be able to recognize color spectrum

  • Fully mobile from one manufacturing area to another

  • Able to step over and / or bend under objects

  • Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 Ibs with or without reasonable assistance

 

What type of environment will you be working in?


  • In a manufacturing environment and inside quality control laboratory

  • May include outside conditions in all types of weather.
