Duties:
• Manage environmental compliance programs including Title V air quality renewable operating permit, NPDES permit, hazardous and non-hazardous waste, Storm Water Pollution Prevention, SPCC, Form R, Tier II, GHG, and DOT hazardous materials management
• Oversee operation of Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) and supervise hourly WWTP employees
• Function as a subject matter expert resource to teams for consistent implementation of company EHS standards and programs, provides site-wide training, and performs jobsite auditing and incident investigation
• Experience designing and implementing new procedures, products, and/or strategies across multi-discipline teams
• Demonstrated leadership skills; ability to build, maintain and leverage strong relationships; comfortable working as part of a team; self-motivated
• Coordinate and collaborate with site personnel and leadership across the organization to plan, prepare, and develop the EHS programs and policies for compliance with the company's requirements
• Analyze EHS programs, conditions and behaviors and recommends changes to continuously improve site EHS performance
• Collect, track, and report environmental data, metrics, and KPIs.
• Contribute to internal and external environmental audits
• Manage site-wide Environmental Management System per ISO-14001 requirements
• Provide leadership for sustainability projects and collaborate with departments to meet sustainability goals
• Evaluate workplace compliance with regards to state and federal EHS regulations and standards

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree required in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science, chemical or a closely related scientific field. MS or MBA is strongly preferred
• Professional certification in an EHS related area (CHMM, CIH, CSP, PE,) is preferred
• 10+ years EHS experience working in a highly regulated industry, including facility based operating experience
• Experience with managing air emissions, waste water and storm water compliance activities for a manufacturing facility
• Working experience with Environmental Stewardship Programs
• Comprehensive understanding of EHS, OSHA and GMP regulations
• Experience with implementing and maintaining ISO 14001 and 45001 standards preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to and influence a diverse audience, at multiple levels within the company
• Experience in managing projects and/or leadership of EHS functions
• Demonstrated skills in leading problem solving utilizing continuous improvement metrics, tools and methodologies; conducting risk assessments, accident investigations, and root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions and hazard identification
• Knowledge of compliance, GMP, HACCP and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) processes
• DOT Hazardous Materials and Michigan Storm Water Operator preferred
