R&D Associate Scientist, Disinfecting Trigger Sprayers at RB LLC in Montvale, New Jersey

Description The R&D Scientist (Associate) will apply technical knowledge working toward multiple project goals and objectives within established timelines. Position is a newly created role responsible for Global and Regional product development reporting to Senior R&D Manager in the USA. Candidate will be responsible for portfolio of products consisting Disinfecting Trigger Sprays, Disinfecting Wipes and Hand Sanitizers. Key Responsibilities •    Be the technical lead for product development vs product criteria.
•    Focus on problems, identify solutions and achieve tangible results.
•    Develop the product with consumer in mind - use company provided tools to find what the consumer wants, and build your product with these features embedded.
•    Agree with Marketing, Regulatory, Manufacturing and other functions on criteria, claims and actions.
•    Collaborate with Marketing to develop, prioritize and execute project portfolio.
•    End to end responsibility - take the products from idea, for scale up and launch at the factory.
•    Coordinate product testing with Microbiology, Analytical, Fragrance, and Sensory groups, as needed. 
•    Recommend ways for products to remain competitive in challenging consumer goods market.
•    Maintain products in compliance by overseeing preparation of product dossiers used for launches and product registrations.

Qualifications •    Bachelor's degree in related science with at least 3+ years of lab experience, or MS degree in related science with 2 years experience.
•    Energetic, self-starter and results oriented.
•    Background in Surface care product development - preferred.
•    Know-how on developing and launching products in regulated categories (BPR).
•    Strong formulation knowledge and understanding of surfactants, polymer chemistries. 
•    Familiarity with Test methodologies for stain removal, surface cleaning, antimicrobial and other performance measures a big plus.
•    GLP/GMP experience a plus.
•    Good organizational and interpersonal skills. 
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Ability to display of flexibility and adapt effectively to change.
