We are looking for an individual who is interested in working and developing advanced algorithms for increasing acoustic output and fidelity in portable audio. Bose is currently investigating several cutting-edge approaches that could change existing performance standards in the industry. The research program will take a systems approach to optimize performance. The project team includes a diverse group of engineers and technicians collaborating across multiple disciplines. Day to day responsibilities include prototype creation, physical measurements, data analysis, and algorithm development.

Candidates should possess an interest in signal processing, controls engineering, and acoustic systems. Ideal candidates are working towards an undergraduate/graduate degree in electrical/acoustical engineering or physics and have completed a course in signals and systems. Preference given to musicians and those with real-time processing experience. Desired skills are a familiarity with adaptive filters, nonlinear dynamics, and machine learning. A working knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink and data acquisition systems are required.
