Job Description:

The Strategic Account Sales Manager (SASM) is responsible for management and execution of enterprise level, new logo account sales activities within the Vermont Systems Sales team. The SASM reports to the Director of Sales. The Strategic Account Sales Manager provides strategy & direction in the pursuit of enterprise level (Large account) new logo business, in order to ensure the company meets its goals and objectives related to new business generation and sales initiatives.

The SASM is the "face" of Vermont Systems in key account sales interactions and will be the primary point of contact during the sales cycle with enterprise sales opportunities. A solid, working knowledge of the industry and of the Vermont System prospect & client needs is critical to the role of the SASM.

The SASM must have an intimate working knowledge of all Vermont Systems products, including RecTrac, WebTrac, MainTrac and GolfTrac.  They must be able to present and demonstrate all applications at any level of detail and have extensive knowledge of the software setup and configuration.  The manager is also responsible for the processing of successful sales efforts, to include: presenting the Vermont Systems software via online/remote and in-person presentations, setting up and managing trade show booths and as the lead voice in large account Requests for Proposal (RFP) projects. 

Primary Responsibilities


  • Responsible for new logo sales creation and development in an always evolving, targeted list of 20-50 strategic/enterprise accounts. 

  • Represent Vermont Systems at any venue, such as a trade show, prospect product demonstration, user group or vendor location.

  • Working with the Director of Sales in creating and managing company strategy and tactics for strategic account (enterprise account) sales and opportunities.  Target list of strategic accounts to be created based on market and long-term potential ARR.

  • Responsible for creating introduction path and moving targeted strategic account opportunities through defined sales cycle and keeping all activities and engagements updated in CRM. 

  • Provide strategic account sales data & sales forecasting to the Vermont Systems President, Director of Sales, and CE Holdings as required.

  • Member of the Vermont Systems "Compass - Executive account Advisory Initiative".

  • Assist with and complete formal Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, targeted on strategic/enterprise accounts.

  • Communicate effectively with other internal Vermont Systems teams, i.e. Accounting, Support & Development.

  • Maintain intimate knowledge of all Vermont Systems products.  Be prepared to demonstrate and discuss the suite of VS applications at any time.

  • Follow up on outstanding quotes and any other pending communication string as needed, with a focus on new logo - Strategic/Enterprise accounts.

  • Foster and build key account relationships to drive new revenue opportunities. 

Required Qualifications


  • Requires a college degree with a background in sales, and at least 5 years of experience in the field or related area. Software training and implementation, computer science knowledge, and communication skills are beneficial.  

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work well in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment.  

  • Comfort speaking in front of large groups.  

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage many tasks simultaneously.  

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.    

  • Comfort speaking with current and prospective customers.  

  • Excellent time management skills. 

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience in delivering focused solutions based upon customer needs.  

  • Experience with presenting software to large groups.  

  • Experience in Microsoft Office suite primarily Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Dynamics 365 CRM software.   

  • Knowledge of Parks and Recreation industry.
