Role Summary:
This Paralegal on the Consumer Litigation Team will primarily respond to subpoenas. In addition, work may include gathering information for demand responses; writing responses to and negotiating resolutions with adverse parties; preparation of defense packets; case file maintenance; and overall case management and reporting. This position will have client communication. The position will also handle other related legal functions in support of others on the team. The successful applicant will have consumer litigation experience, superior organizational skills, excellent computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.), and writing skills. The paralegal candidate must have the ability to independently manage caseloads and tasks as assigned with the ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:
• Responses to subpoenas
• Responses to demand letters
• Preparation of defense packets
• Information/fact gathering including client communications
• Case management, including file maintenance
• Administrative support, including reporting
• Work with outside counsel

Basic Requirements:
• Paralegal Certificate or Paralegal Associate Degree
• 1 year of litigation experience

Preferred

Requirements:
• Strong writing and communication skills and attention to detail
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite and in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
• The ability to work and manage case load and tasks independently
• The ability to meet deadlines
• The ability to balance multiple priorities
• Working knowledge of legal case management systems
