Senior IT Support Engineer-( VM Engineer) Citizen,GC only
We are looking for individuals with at least 5 years of experience in VMware engineering and administration in a hyper V- cluster environment- Strong Container virtualization required
* 5+ years of hands on experience implementing, configuring, administering and patching a variety of server, storage hardware and virtualization platforms including EMC storage, VMware ESX, installing and configuring VMware clusters in high-availability environment
* 5+ direct experience implementing, configuring, administering and patching Microsoft Operating Systems and core applications that include, but are not limited to: Windows 2003/2008/2012 Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and DFS. Knowledge and experience with Active Directory Group Policies is required.
* Provide delivery of VMware product line and Storage Appliances - EMC/Nutanix/Simplivity Etc
* Serve as the point person on infrastructure builds
* Knowledge of backup and recovery best practices. Experience with Veamm a plus
* Install, configure, and manage MS products - Hyper-V, Exchange, WDS, SCCM
* Willing to work under different technologies and take up new technology responsibilities outside the core skills.
* Provide technical, consultative and delivery services
* Ability to work in a team environment to execute projects
* Provide technical support to the presales team
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Excellent time management skills
* Ability to deliver projects with minimal supervision
* Strong Problem solver
* Ability to engage customers to determine future needs
* Support multiple data center environments
* Hands-on skill in data center installations;
* Ability to install, configure, support and troubleshoot server, storage and networks in a MSP environment
Requirements
* BS degree and / or 5 + years of professional experience
* Experience designing and building VMware, AD, and Exchange environments with some networking exposure
* Strong exp with Horizon View
* Exposure to switches, routers, TCP/IP protocol, Windows Servers/Clients, Active Directory, Data Domain.
* Vendor Certifications Microsoft (MCSE) EMC, etc a plus
* Knowledge of SAN best practices for VMware, Windows and Linux operating system.
