Job Description:

DESCRIPTION Georgia-Pacific in West Monroe, LA is seeking PRODUCTION ASSOCIATES. As a production associate, you will learn to operate machinery in the corrugated and converting departments to expected levels, maintain a safe and clean working environment throughout the facility, and work collaboratively to achieve production and safety goals. This position is on a rotating shift working 1st shift and then rotating to 2nd shift the following week. 12 hour 3rd shift times are also possible depending on work flow.

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN YOUR ROLE

* Meeting or exceeding safety, production, and quality goals

* Learning to operate machinery to expected performance levels

* Maintaining cleanliness in and around machinery and all areas of the facility

THE EXPERIENCE YOU WILL BRING

Requirements:

* One (1) year or more of work experience

* Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment

* Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment

* Willing and able work rotating shifts, weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed

* Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for at least eight (8) hours a day

WHAT WILL PUT YOU AHEAD

* High school or diploma or GED

* One (1) year of experience or more working in a manufacturing, industrial, military, construction, or warehouse environment
