Cath Lab Tech INTERNSHIP at Northside Hospital in Canton, Georgia

Job Description:

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Northside Cherokee Hospital will be holding an internship for new graduate cath lab techs in Spring 2021. The cath lab tech assists physicians during cardiac cath procedures, pacemaker/ICD insertions, electrophysiology, and other miscellaneous procedures by operating the physiologic / hemodynamic monitoring computer and/or scrubbing for invasive cardiac and vascular procedures. Provides patient care to adult and geriatric patients.POSITION REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED:
Must have one of the following:
either 1 year prior Interventional experience (Cath/Radiology) OR
2 years prior diagnostic lab experience (Cath/Radiology) OR
Associates Degree in a Health Science Program OR
Completion of an accredited Technology program (CVT/Radiology with appropriate specialization)
AND
Either ARRT OR b. RCIS *3 years of prior Interventional experience (Cath/Radiology) is considered in lieu of certifications

** RCIS certification required within 2 yrs

Must be able to work 4 (10-hr) shift schedule and take call (30 min response) upon completion of internship

WORK HOURS: 7a-5p

WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS: No

ON-CALL REQUIREMENTS: Yes.
