Position Description

The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing graphical user interface applications used by various groups within the company to help debug and test medical diagnostic machines.

Responsibilities

- Design and develop graphical user interface apps, using C#, used for testing the end-product
- Support development and debugging of existing embedded C design.
- Create and maintain software requirements, architecture, and design documentation.
- Modify existing software to fix errors, improve the overall quality and functionality or update integrations with other software
- Analyze user needs to determine how software should be built or if existing software should be modified
- Develop and/or perform software automated testing procedures, solutions, and frameworks to ensure software functions as needed
- Participate in design and code reviews

Position Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of programming experience, shipping code and unit tests in an Object-Oriented Programming language (C# and .NET Core are critical).
- Experience in graphical user design for Microsoft Window Applications.
- Experience with embedded design (C code).
- Strong commitment to quality designs, automation, and documentation. Device is a medical product that must maintain a high level of quality and documentation.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.

The following are considered a plus:

- Experience with Python and/or PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with writing automated tests.
- Knowledge of source control configuration and issue tracking tools.
- Experience with serial communication: RS232, RS485, CAN.
- Experience with basic hardware tools: Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supply, programmers, etc.
- Experience in a regulated industry.

Relocation is not available for this position.
