Division Overview

Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. Position Overview

Assembler Job Summary:

Handles 3 sizes of concrete containers, small, medium and large, attach hardware onto containers per the customer's specifications. Loads containers onto pallets by lifting them using a hoist. Bind and strap containers together for shipping.

Essential Functions:

Lifts and maneuvers containers from molding are to assembler area. Fastens metal parts of case together with rivets or nuts and bolts. Drills holes in containers to attach hardware. Rivets hardware, such as hinges, fasteners and metal corners to container to complete assembly. Uses hoist to move and maneuver small to large concrete containers. Uses banding materials to strap and band containers together in preparation for shipping. Labels number orders or description of container onto the concrete. Inspects the container before and after placement of hardware to assure quality. Use power and hand tolls to complete order.

Shift: Monday - Friday (5:00am-3:30pm) Applicants need to be able to work overtime on Saturdays as required.

Assembler Starting pay is $14.60 per hour and will increase to $14.57 after 90days of employment. In addition, you will be eligible to receive a $500 retention bonus on the 100th day of employment with Hubbell.
