Production Technician at PPG Industries in East Point, Georgia

Job Description:

As a Production Technician (Expediter), you will assign production start and end times for a production environment. This is crucial to the production environment as you select the sequence of processes and assignment to individual work centers and lines. This role provides a variety of daily tasks as it is split between computerized environments, process improvement, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

* Assign start and completion times for production environment

* Select and assign processes and assignments to production lines

* Work with production foreman and production control function

Qualifications

* Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred

* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day

* High school diploma or equivalent is preferred

* Ability to work rotating shifts, work any job, and work overtime as needed
