The Manufacturing Engineer II evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators. They assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes. The Manufacturing Engineer II will support to production operations including material disposition, process updates and daily manufacturing activities. Design, develop, implement and improve manufacturing processes to produce cost effective quality medical device products and systems. Provide manufacturing engineering to create, document and implement required procedures and documents while ensuring full compliance with GMP's. Conduct product testing, prototype development, tooling review and recommendations, product and tooling quotes, development of manufacturing processes and testing standards. Complete internal qualification process on all tools for manufacturing. Applies Company policies and procedures to resolve routing issues. Learns to use professional concepts. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.

A Day in the Life

  • Support assembly activities with fixture design, repair, verification, and implementation

  • Create and maintain production documentation

  • Performs equipment qualifications and maintenance

  • Develops, characterizes and optimizes processes using statistical techniques, engineering knowledge and experience

  • Revising existing methods and machines to continually improve productivity of manufacturing

  • Monitors prices and equipment performance

  • Identifies and implements process improvement activities to increase yield, efficiency or throughput

  • Trains assemblers, quality control, and technicians on processes, equipment, and documentation

  • Develops new and innovative ways to manufacture the existing product

  • Must be willing to work shifts, over time and weekend/ holidays as required by business needs or project deadlines

  • Available to work in clean room area

    Must Have


  • Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of experience or Advanced Degree with 0+ years of experience required.

    Nice to Have


  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

  • PC application skills: MS Project, Excel, Word

  • Medical device manufacturing experience

  • Drawing software such as Solid Works, Pro E, or similar
