Set Up Operator I 2nd shift - PL1 at Schaeffler Group in Cheraw, South Carolina

Job Description:

Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking Set Up Operator I- for 2nd shift to work at our Cheraw, SC location. This position is responsible for producing quality parts for our customers.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Set up and Operate machinery for production of high quality parts to Customer specification
• Change tooling at the beginning of each production run


• Run production, making necessary adjustments


• Perform some mechanical maintenance to keep line running


• Verify sampling of parts for conformance to specification - Master all gages


• Component lot control and stock


• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area


• Required to follow all Company policies and procedures


• Other duties as required by Supervisor

• High School Diploma or GED
• Able to read manufacturing prints and make precision measurements as required


• Two (2) years' set up experience, preferred but not required


• Have the ability to safely lift 40 pounds


• Must be able to stand up to 8 hrs (break excluded)


• Manual Dexterity, Motor coordination, Hand-eye coordination, Spatial and form coordination


• Mech aptitude


• Basic knowledge of hand tools, mechanical devices
