As a digital product designer at Bose, you will facilitate the marriage of software and hardware. You are involved at every step of the product development process, from brainstorming broad ideas to ensuring design quality and integrity through launch. Using your full range of interaction, visual, motion, and product thinking skills, you will realize the digital experiences that fuel the core of experiences on our hardware.

You will have a track record building projects to successful outcomes for users and the business. You are a strong cross-functional partner, a great communicator, and are able to take a solution from idea to implementation. You uphold a high-quality bar and have a strong appreciation for the details. You know how to receive and deliver constructive criticism and work well in large teams.

You demonstrate an ability to understand and interpret brand aesthetics and values. You are a self-starting problem solver and critical thinker, able to speak up and advocate for the best solution, but humble enough to work within constraints . Above all, you approach problems holistically and create elegantly simple solutions for complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Problem solve, know when to think big, when to be pragmatic, and explore divergent concepts/ideas while understanding how to converge and build iteratively towards your vision.

• Plan strategically and think tactically as a partner with product and engineering


• Utilize research and data to influence the shape of the product while executing design work using high-quality wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.


• Advocate for design by sharing your work and presenting cross-functionally, while being able to precisely articulate design rationale.


• Inspire the entire team (including your cross-functional) partners by bringing new ideas to the table.


• Create a unified, end-to-end experience through close collaboration with cross-functional team members.

Experience and Skillset

• Sufficient experience working in UX, UI, HCI related field with experience working on mobile


• Experience designing on multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Mobile web, Desktop, etc)


• Excellent oral and written communication skills


• Experience with prototyping


• Highly proficient with design tools (Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)


• Highly proficient with interactive prototyping tools (Flinto, Framer, Principle, Invision Studio, etc.)


• Excellence in design craft


• Ability to work with a low-ego, highly collaborative, cross-functional team


• Ability to work heads down on production


• Excited about working in a fast-paced, nimble environment


• Must include link to a design portfolio
