JOB SUMMARY

This role is primarily responsible for identifying, designing, and implementing process improvements and system enhancements within the Accounting Department. Title determined based on qualifications and prior experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  1. Analyze existing processes, identify automation opportunities, recommend and implement sustainable solutions.

  2. Leverage technology to support the automation and improvement of accounting processes.

  3. Serve as team member on key projects with Accounting Department involvement (implementation of new technology, financial statement close process transformation, etc.).

  4. Lead special accounting projects and work with other departments on company-wide initiatives.

  5. Partner with Information Services, the Accounting Department, and other internal stakeholders to develop standardized, efficient, automated, and scalable accounting processes.

  6. Assist in the documentation of key Accounting Department policies and procedures.

  7. Assist in the development and monitoring of key performance indicators for the Accounting Department

  8. Gather feedback and information from team to identify issues for resolution and process improvement. Prioritize such improvement opportunities.

  9. Perform other duties as required.

TRAVEL

Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Experience: Relevant accounting experience of at least three to five years.

Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting is required. Knowledge of accounting theory, including GMP and IFRS, is required. Familiarity with real estate and international experience is a plus.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Professional certification of CPA or equivalent is strongly desired.
