The Interactive Credit Analyst role in the Enterprise Risk Management team provides an optimal experience to our sales partners and merchants. This role will help drive multiple initiatives, including reviewing merchant submissions with additional layers of review and dissection to find account solutions, drivng increased submission volumes, and providing underwriting expertise for merchant relationships. The primary focus of the Interactive Credit Analyst is to analyze applicants and business types, as well as work within the new application pipelines of the Underwriting Department
You'll need the soft skills necessary to be good ambassadors for NAB to external parties like sales partners and business owners. You must be able to complete tasks quickly and efficiently, while resolving escalations, diagnosing the cause of an issue, and implementing the correct solution.
What you will be doing:
Underwrite and review new submissions, auto approved submissions, and graduated underwriting submissions that sales partners and merchants submit to NAB.
Provide all sales partners with an additional layer of review and discretion to find a solution for accounts that have been pended, declined, or withdrawn.
Provide a communication channel for sales partners and merchants including phone support during all business hours.
Stay logged into the phone queue at all times throughout the shift in order to take inbound and to make outbound calls to sales partners and merchants.
Drive increased submission volume from our sales partners.
Must be comfortable and confident in handling a position of authority, as well as executing accurate judgment in regards to interactions with Sales Partners and merchants over the phone and through email.
Provide solution focused reviews for high risk, restricted, and prohibited merchant submissions.
Use discretion to make smart exceptions for pended, declined, and withdrawn accounts leading to more approvals.
Analyze a wide variety of applicants and business types in multiple credit card processing environments.
Ability to adapt priorities for peak periods to ensure consistency of service levels and flexibility to work extended shifts to meet business needs.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and handle combination of relationships with applicants, internal staff and external customers (agents, vendors and key business partners relationships).
Conduct commercial credit application reviews to make decisions based on individual and business documentation received from multiple sources.

What we need from you:
High School Diploma
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting (or equivalent work experience)
Minimum 2 years of commercial underwriting experience or commercial risk mitigation
2 Years of Payment Processing experience preferred
2 Years of Sales Support Experience or Customer Service preferred
Must be able to flex work schedule in support of departmental needs
