Maintenance Supervisor Job Summary:

Koch Foods is recruiting for a 2nd shift manufacturing maintenance supervisor in its Cumming, Georgia location. A poultry facility Maintenance Supervisor is primarily responsible for achieving immediate and short-term maintenance objectives as provided by management. In addition, the supervisor will direct daily work tasks and supervise Maintenance Technicians ensuring that operational objectives are met. The ideal candidate will be bilingual speaking Spanish and English fluently.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Mentor and motivate employees, providing training and professional development optimizing performance and personal growth.


• Ensure compliance with regulations relating to safety, security, GMP, sanitation, discipline, etc.


• Discipline and report breaches in policy to appropriate management.


• Assign and ensure completion of daily work orders for Maintenance Technicians.


• Perform lock out/tag out certifications on all equipment.


• Communicate performance standards with team members, recognizing and rewarding individual and team accomplishments and counseling performance problems.


• Facilitate employee meetings, including employee training.


• Ensure appropriate documentation is completed and maintained.


• Communicate and ensure compliance with company, quality and HACCP standards and procedures.


• Perform all required safety checks.


• All other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, with college degree and/or technical certification preferred.


• One (1) to three (3) years’ supervisory experience, preferrably within a manufacturing environment.


• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, with general Spanish communication skills REQUIRED. 


• Strong interpersonal skills.


• Proficient computer and analytical skills.


• Self-motivated and detail oriented.


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.


• Ability to work weekends as needed.

Physical/Environmental Factors:

• Cold, damp, wet environment with temperatures ranging from 40 to 90 degrees.


• Stand/walk 100% of work day.


• Exposure to noise levels greater than 85 decibels.


• Bend, stoop, and lift various weights as needed.


• Climb stairs, frequently stoop, kneel, crawl and bend.


• Exposure to strong, raw and foul odors.


• Bending, twisting, stacking, pushing and standing for long periods of time.


• Manual dexterity of hands and wrists.
