SUMMARY

The Construction Scheduler supports Cherokee Nation 3S's client, Marine Corps Installations-East (MCIEAST) at Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River in Jacksonville, NC. Support to this command includes advisory and assistance services program support in executing nearly $4B of on-going and future Military Construction (MILCON) and Facilities Sustainment Restoration and Modernization (FSRM) projects across the MCIEAST Commands. Programmatic activities include: FSRM and MILCON Project Development, Project Planning & Program Development, Asset Management activities, and Program Support operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:


  • Development of both design and construction schedules integrating customer execution requirements and making recommendations to optimize the project delivery to assist in project planning.
  • Effort includes identifying potential schedule conflicts and assisting management in prioritizing work packages based on critical paths and program constraints.
  • Reviews contractor's schedules and provides recommendations/solutions regarding scheduling issues.
  • Provides analysis on how contract can recover, if possible, from current delays to meet completion dates.
  • Independently performs Time Impact Analysis of contractor's requests for equitable adjustments/claims or validate contractor's requests.
  • Determines and makes recommendations regarding proper resource leveling to optimize scope, schedule, and cost while minimizing project risk.
  • Monitors and tracks project working execution dates.
  • Provides production metrics, and status reports including tracking actual progress vs baselines, milestone reports, and projecting completions dates.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

No supervisory or management authority.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


  • Engineering Degree, Associates Degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology or Building Construction
  • Minimum of 5 years of Construction Scheduling experience or a High School Diploma and 10 years of Construction Scheduling experience.
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project is preferred, however other platforms will be considered.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES


  • Knowledge and use of RS Means, HCSS, In Eight, Roots, Pro-EST, Primavera, Prolog, Procore, Agile Point, SharePoint, and Shipley as a proposal function.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to understand construction logic and sequencing of complex federal construction projects and methodology.
  • Ability to interpret contract specifications and drawings.
  • Knowledge of contract procedures and principles
  • Knowledge of construction best practices.
  • Ability to obtain appropriate security clearance required per contract.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to teamwork.
  • Attention to detail.
  • The ability to liaise well with professionals from other disciplines.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work will be performed in a climate controlled office environment. Occasional travel to project sites required.
