Manager of Sterile Processing at Clinical Management Consultants in Bay Shore, New York

Job Description:

A rapidly growing hospital in the greater New York area is actively seeking a Manager of Sterile Processing to join their team. 

The Sterile Processing Manager will join a team at a facility dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care throughout the community. This acute care hospital continues to expand daily, bringing on new leaders who are excited to spearhead new initiatives, and ultimately grow with the hospital. With cutting edge medical technology and services offered, this facility is able to accommodate a wide array of specialized services throughout the community; including a Level II Trauma Center. 

The Manager of Sterile Processing will join the Perioperative Services team, working alongside the Operating Room Manager, and reporting to the Director of Surgical Services. The Sterile Processing Manager will be accountable for materials management and instrument processing for the perioperative surgical service department. Reporting to the Manager of Sterile Processing will be a team of Perioperatiive Materials Specialists, Perioperative Nursing Assistance, and CST and CRCST Sterile Processing technicians. 

Administrative responsibilities of the Sterile Processing Manager will include determining and reordering inventory and instrument as needed to maintain proper supply levels, overseeing procurement of consignment reorders, capital purchasing, product requisitions and evaluations, maintaining inventory maintenance systems, tracking sterile processing records and documents, updating policy procedures and enforcing state and federal regulatory compliance. Additionally, the Sterile Processing Manager will be responsible for new hire orientation, department education, ensuring instrument processing trays are readily available, and representing the perioperative materials management and instrument processing department as the vendor liaison.
