Job Summary:

Environmental Services (EVS) is a vital part of BSA in maintaining a sterile environment for patients. Each day EVS conducts an average of 300 routine cleans (this includes patient rooms, office areas, etc.) and 100 checkouts (which are rooms vacated by discharged patients). Each Area Tech is held accountable for each job they perform including response time, duration of job, and are also required to maintain a 90% or above on inspections conducted by the supervisor.

The Area Tech performs general cleaning duties (housekeeping) in areas such as patient rooms, public areas, restrooms, offices and clinical areas.

* Good organizational and follow-through skills

* Excellent customer services skills

* Attention to detail

* Ability to multi-task constantly and tolerate interruptions

* Ability to write legibly

* Make quick, accurate decisions and function calmly under stressful situations

* Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time

* Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
