POSITION:

We are seeking a Director of Program Leadership and Alliance Management to provide cross-functional leadership, program planning and management, operational business process planning and execution management for Dermavant s portfolio. In addition, this individual will manage third party partnerships ensuring the flow of information between Dermavant and partners, as well as facilitating the alliance relationship and managing agreements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* As part of a cross-functional team, work collaboratively to develop and maintain product strategy and work with functions and sub-teams to develop and execute on product plans

* Identify risks and threats to project objectives and develop contingencies to mitigate them

* Hold functions (and functional leaders) accountable for all program deliverables and timelines

* Take collective responsibility for delivery of the product plan

* Tracks deliverables across all programs in the portfolio to enable decisions on prioritization and allocation of resources

* Lead meetings ensuring that all issues are surfaced, points of view are expressed, and decisions/recommendations are made

* Consult with project management function to deliver accurate and timely project status and deliverable information to enable the organization to focus on key priorities and enhance its ability to deliver work on-time and on-budget

* Own the integrated product P&L and budget - ensure that all functions have the resources and budget needed to deliver

* Visibly advocates and supports key business initiatives: Evaluates new opportunities (i.e.: in-licensing candidates, impact of change in market conditions or availability of new project data) and provides overall support for feasibility studies on potential global programs

* Manages internal and external resources (people, information, technologies, time, and capital) and allocates project resources appropriately

* Proactively identifies project issues before they arise and develops contingency plans; communicates project-related issues to senior executive management and manages issues to resolution

* Oversee the governance of strategic partnerships including managing governance committees, identifying key issues, and monitoring adherence to agreed-upon research, development and commercialization plans.

* Compliance/contract management liaise with legal, finance, R&D, Commercial and other functions to ensure that key contract milestones, financial transactions, progress reports, etc. are handled appropriately and also to provide information/updates as needed.

* Work directly with the partner company to set the direction and scope for implementation of partnership agreement: key activities, timing and responsibilities on either side.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* An advanced degree (MS, PhD, MBA), preferably in a relevant biopharmaceutical discipline

* 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience

* Extensive track record of effective matrix leadership experience

* Experience with clinical development extending from IND to NDA/BLA, including a solid understanding of global registration processes

* Technical expertise in a relevant biopharmaceutical development discipline

* Strong business acumen and financial skills (i.e., business case development, budget tracking)

* Experience in healthcare/biotech/pharmaceutical industry with a demonstrated understanding of cross-functional interdependencies (i.e., R&D, Technical Operations, Regulatory and Commercial)

* Excellent interpersonal and relationship development skills

* Organizational awareness and strong ability to influence without authority

* Strong organizational and strategic project management skills ability to partner closely with Project Management, and ability to present effectively and interact with senior management

* Excellent communication, negotiation, problem solving and decision-making abilities

* Demonstrated ability to proactively identify critical program risks and develop mitigation plans
