Job Description:

The Airborne Radar Systems and Techniques Group develops radar technology solutions for defense-related
intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions. The group develops and prototypes new
capabilities at the system and subsystem level, leveraging advances in RF and signal processing technology,
to provide new capabilities against emerging threats. Challenging problems are analyzed in a comprehensive
manner by studying the underlying physics, current and emerging signal processing and hardware technology,
experimental data, and system operating concepts in order to innovate next-generation systems. The group
leverages highly-integrated RF subsystems, processing techniques (including MIMO, as waveform design,
adaptive processing), and electronic protection to enhance detection and tracking in challenging geophysical
and signal environments. The group's programs typically entail phenomenology-based data collection, datadriven
algorithm development, and culminate in field test and evaluation. Principal staff expertise in the group
includes system engineering, digital signal processing, radar tracking and imaging, experimental physics, and
hardware development and integration

Overview:

The Airborne Radar Systems and Techniques Group is seeking a System Administrator to
support a wide variety of information technology (IT) tasks across a diverse set of network and computer
resources. The system administrator will be responsible for contributing to the IT team s efforts in maintaining
and improving the group s extensive network resources.

* Domains: IT Infrastructure, Networking, Cloud, system architecture design, system configuration

* management, system troubleshooting and database management.

* Responsible for management, administration, and support of MIT/LL IT systems infrastructure.

* Responsible for configuring and maintaining (physical and virtual) servers and user workstations along

* with software and hardware deployments.

* Ensure system availability (powered on); OS builds/upgrades; system patching; apply OS configuration

* to new systems; troubleshoot host/server failures and related issues (i.e. domain controller problems);

* perform routine data backups; documenting maintenance actions taken.

* Day-to-day desktop and server support of multiple environments

* Operating systems builds, hardening, and automation

* Patching of operating systems and third party products

* Updating of firmware and BIOS on a multitude of hardware

* Upgrading of operating systems and third party products

* Automation of multiple environments at all levels

* Configuration and monitoring of backups

* Remediation of security findings

* Day-to-day troubleshooting

Required Skills:

* Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must possess a current in scope secret level sercurity clearance

* Fundamental basic knowledge of Windows Operating System)

* Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 2 years experience or equilavent

* Troubleshooting both hardware and software

* Operating System build automation

* Operating System hardening

* Knowledge of government and industry standard security requirements

* Active Directory experience with editing objects and changing passwords

* Basic networking skills

* Understanding of enterprise backups & grasp of storage concepts

* Non-Technical Skills:

* Candidates must be enthusiastic, innovative and motivated self-starters able to work independently, or

* with a group, to achieve program requirements.

* Candidates must possess strong oral and written communications skills with accent on documentation

Preferred Skills:

* TOP SECRET security clearance

* Working knowledge of Linux and ESXi/vMware operating systems

* IT certifications such as Security+ or A=

* Scripting Window or Linux

* Security knowledge with RMF and JSIG

* High end documentation skills

* Familiarity with SCAP, Nessus, McAfee virus scan and EOP, DLP solutions
