We are currently seeking a Mainframe Engineer to join our team in Irving, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* Experience in the COBOL, CICS, MQ, SYNCSORT, SQL, JCL, PROC Technologies
* Knowledge on the Core Java Concepts.
* Experience in Mainframe centric Large-scale Databases (DB2) and File structures (VSAM)
* Experience in complex batch scheduling constructs (Commonly used in CITI).
* Experience Batch transmission exchange protocols (NDM, SFTP)
* Hands on experience supporting franchise critical 24X7 Hot-Hot applications
* Knowledge of Change management tools suite (Changeman, BitBucket, Service Now, ALM/Quality Center)
* Knowledge on the Core Java Concepts.
* Retail banking functional domain knowledge
* Knowledge on SDLC process (Waterfall and Agile) , Agile scrum delivery experience
* Non-Production testing support.
* Support COB, Data refresh and such application related activities
* Development and implementation of Production incidents and Maintenance requests
* Take ownership for delivering/application safety and soundness maintenance
* Own the entire lifecycle of the development project
* Oversee technical designs : Define the product scope, product functionality and deliver what the clients need while adhering to overall product architecture & organization standards
* Guide the developers and the team in ensuring quality deliverables.
* Play a hands-on role during all phases of the lifecycle including plan, code reviews, testing and support
* Together with the partner teams, user community, business analysts and Tech management contribute to innovative & best-in-class solutions for our business
* Proven ability to communicate with users to understand requirements and implement appropriate solutions.
* Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents complex IBM Mainframe hosted applications
Basic Qualifications:
* Minimum 5+ years of experience in IBM Mainframe-Database/ File handling tools
