SCHEDULE: PRN/Per Diem

POSITION SUMMARY:
Prepares cold foods for patients, special functions and cafeteria. Stocks patient pantries, fills nourishment orders and passes trays to patient floors at breakfast and lunch.
REPORTS TO: Executive Chef
SUPERVISES: None

QUALIFICATIONS POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
LICENSURE/ CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:

* Food Handler Certified

EDUCATION:

* High school or equivalent

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

* Follows ALL Hospital Wide and Department Specific Polices.

* Effective knowledge of quantity food preparation.

* Creative in food preparation and presentation

* Able to follow instructions

* Task orientated ability to finish specific jobs within specified time frame.

* Courteous and exhibits positive attitude.

* Maintains strict confidentiality relative to patient and hospital information.

* Able to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff:: clinical and ancillary

* Knowledge and maintenance of clean and sanitary work environment.

* Practices infection control, safe food handling - HACCP and personal hygiene.

* Maintains strict confidentiality relative to patient and hospital information (HIPPA).

* Follows regulatory standards: Joint Commission, Health Department, Title 22.
