Manages the planning, design, and development activities, including the management of first level managers for the outside plant facilities/network. Manages pre-construction activities. Ensures that work processes, standards and master plan are in conformance, and that schedules are adhered to. Reviews work orders, projects and typically has approval authority. Manages and controls allocation of resources and materials. May be responsible for managing an outside plant engineering design group. May be responsible for oversight of construction budget and complex project management activities. Typically reports to second or third level management. Supervisory: YES
This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&T s compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.
