Senior Dealer Solutions Executive:

As a Senior Dealer Solutions Executive for KAR Global, you will own a defined territory of franchise and large independent dealers. This may also include large dealer groups. You will be responsible for creating and driving a sales strategy focused on providing an end-to-end dealer-focused solution.


  • Prospect and develop franchise dealership and large independent dealership relationships to drive successful growth of dealer consignment in our digital and physical venues.

  • Develop customer relationships with franchise, large independent and wholesale dealers through a thorough needs assessment.

  • Implement sales strategies by presenting product solutions.

  • Provide floor price, conversion and engagement coaching to dealerships.

  • Onboard and train new customers.

  • Maintain active franchise seller relationships (volume-based) through regular in-person visits, phone calls, and monthly business performance reviews with dealership owners/GMs to generate increase in volumes of cars going to KAR Global.

  • Analyze territory and develop strategies to win new business and grow existing customers using reports, market and industry knowledge, and product knowledge.

  • Accurately forecast sales against territory budget.

  • Provide product expertise on ADESA and TradeRev offerings to onboard customers, provide technical support and grow accounts to drive to a seamless KAR solution.

  • Identify, manage and follow up on leads acquired through web inquiries, tradeshows and referrals in Salesforce.

  • Mentor Dealer Solutions Executive in learning the automotive industry, building dealer relationships and negotiation skills.

  • Owns strategic territory plan and execution of healthy auction marketplace.

Keys to Success:


  • Highly motivated to meet monthly sales targets using data along with internal and external relationships

  • Ability to analyze data, identify market trends, changes and implications, develop objectives, and strategies

  • Prospect, upsell, and manage accounts to ensure growth in vehicles sold and purchased

  • Ability and willingness to travel daily within the region.

  • Proven field sales experience is required.

  • Experience in the automotive industry, especially regarding technology and inventory management solutions is a plus.

  • Confident in a fast-paced technology-focused environment; demonstrated capacity to keep abreast of new technology trends and possible application to real-world projects.

  • Strong follow-through and tenacious drive to close deals.

Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of demonstrated sales success with territory management

  • High school degree required; college degree preferred

  • Experience in Salesforce a plus

  • Qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possesses a valid driver’s license

  • Automotive experience strongly preferred
