Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a NAM Contract Manufacturing and Outsourcing Category Leader in our Franklin, TN location.

The Contract Manufacturing and Outsourcing Category Leader will support the supply chain transformation roadmap in his/her region. Key mission will be to identify the outsourcing needs and to develop the appropriate procurement strategy to support the transformation roadmap.

What do you get to do in this position?

Main responsibilities:

• Work with the regional GSC and LTIP leadership to identify products that need to be outsourced, including products currently in production and new products in OCP planning


• Develop capability matrix of potential suppliers and update it as needed


• Define outsourcing SOC and strategy for the region and align strategy with respective stakeholders


• Act as procurement single point of contact for the regional LTIP / industrial deployment / OCP teams, collect project requirements (scope, timeline, investment strategy...)


• Define project subcontracting strategy with regional stakeholders (RCM, S3L) and contract manufacturers for Tiers2 flows

• Run RFQ process including Tiers2 supplies


• Negotiate all commercial terms


• Propose scenario and vendors to meet the project requirements


• Award business to the selected vendors


• Follow-up on contractual aspects when applicable


• Hand over all necessary information to regional buyer in charge of the execution


• Act as first escalation point to support project team during execution phase


• Communicate regular updates with Procurement (S3Ls, GCD and Market SVP) and other functions (LTIP, Region VP, LoB etc...)


• Drive Contract Manufacturer performance through business reviews


• Share experience and best practices with network of Contract Manufacturing and Outsourcing Category leaders
