Genmab is focused on the creation and development of innovative and differentiated antibody products, with the aim of improving the lives of cancer patients.

The Role

Genmab continues to grow, which also means an increase in the outsourcing needs across R&D. Therefore, we are strengthening our R&D Contract Management function and are looking for an experienced Associate Director, R&D Contract Management to expand the team to our Princeton office in New Jersey.

R&D Contract Management works globally by driving contract management tasks and processes and it consists of two highly engaged and dedicated teams. The team which supports Research and Innovation is based in The Netherlands whereas the current team supporting Development is based in Denmark. Today, we are 6 persons in R&D Contract Management and we expect to expand the team during 2021 with several Contract Managers both in Denmark and US, thereby strengthening the R&D Contract Management function.

Responsibilities

R&D Contract Management is part of a growing and dynamic global R&D organization. As our new Associate Director, R&D Contract Managementlocated in Princeton your primary focus will be to drive the contract management processes across the different laboratory services required for support of Genmab clinical trials, such as central laboratories, biomarker laboratories and PK laboratories.

In addition, you will play an important role in the further development of our global outsourcing and contract management processes together with the entire R&D Contract Management team and our stakeholders in R&D, Legal, IT and Finance.

The position will report to the Director, Head of R&D Contract Management.

Key Accountabilities

The key accountability is to lead the contract process from initiation through creation and maintenance of the various contracts and will include, but not be limited to following:


  • Support the line of business in identifying, evaluating and selecting external service providers


  • Negotiate, maintain and finalize contracts with vendors


  • Participate in vendor relationship management


  • Evaluate vendor performance in cooperation with line of business


  • Report on progress, monitor risks, resources and critical milestones


  • Build and maintain relevant processes, tools and templates applicable for contract management


  • Contribute to the strengthening of the contract management function across the R&D organization, including securing global alignment


Requirements


  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Life Science, Business, Legal or similar


  • You have at least 5 years of experience from a similar position in the bio-pharmaceutical industry or from a contract research organization with a solid contract management experience


  • Your experience has also provided you with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of clinical development


  • You have superior stakeholder management skills


  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills in English
