WHAT YOU WILL DO IN YOUR ROLE

·ACTIVELY CONTRIBUTING TO CREATING A SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT

·OPERATING EQUIPMENT TO DEFINED STANDARDS AND PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS TARGETS

·ADJUSTING MACHINERY AND MAKING MINOR EQUIPMENT REPAIRS

·ASSISTING AND PERFORMING EQUIPMENT CHANGEOVERS

·DOING DAILY INSPECTIONS AND PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE TASKS, INCLUDING LUBRICATION

·OPERATING MOBILE EQUIPMENT, SUCH AS A FORKLIFT

·OPERATING COMPUTER DISTRIBUTED CONTROL SYSTEMS

·WORKING IN A SOMETIMES HOT, COLD, DUSTY AND NOISY INDUSTRIAL ENVIRONMENT

·WORKING AROUND DUST, OIL, GREASE, CHEMICALS AND OTHER SUBSTANCES

·MAINTAINING STRICT ADHERENCE TO SAFETY RULES AND REGULATIONS, INCLUDING WEARING SAFETY EQUIPMENT

·ABILITY TO PERFORM TASKS SUCH AS LIFTING, WALKING, CLIMBING, STOOPING, STANDING, PUSHING AND/OR PULLING FOR AT LEAST (8) HOURS A DAY

·HANDLING CHEMICALS USED FOR THE MANUFACTURING PROCESSES

THE EXPERIENCE YOU WILL BRING

REQUIREMENTS:

·HIGH SCHOOL DEGREE OR GED

·EXPERIENCE USING A COMPUTER FOR RECORD-KEEPING AND DOCUMENTATION FUNCTIONS

·WILLING AND ABLE TO MEET THE PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

WHAT WILL PUT YOU AHEAD

·Two (2) years or more of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

·Experience in the pulp and paper industry

·Two (2) years or more of experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment
