POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Sterile Processing Supervisor or Manager the central sterile technician assumes responsibility for the cleaning, sterilizing, and processing of all instruments and medical equipment in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education and Training Experience Required
* High school diploma or GED
* Completion of Sterile Processing Course /training.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE: Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Certified Registered Central Service Technician CRCST or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician CBSPD preferred.
